Marin's newest martial arts studio, Marin Dojo offers outstanding martial arts and personal fitness and moved to a larger facility at 9 Ross Avenue in San Anselmo.  The studio, owned and operated by Marin natives, Phil Des Rosiers and Rob Guidi offers classes for students of every age, beginning at four years old.

The Dojo Kids program focuses on providing necessary tools for building confidence, self-esteem and courage necessary to effective decision-making and positive relationships.  The Dojo believes the acquisition of these skills will overflow into other areas such as school and personal life.

The Dojo program works with parents and teachers to ensure the above lessons are incorporated into everyday life.  Dojo Kids works within the community in an effort to make a connection of giving back.  One of the unique things the Dojo does is to send home a report card prior to each promotion to a new belt color.  Each student must have their parents as well as their teachers sign the card agreeing that the child is deserving of the promotion.  The Dojo stresses to each student that they should be just as respectful to their parents, siblings, teachers and fellow students as well as to the Dojo.

The adult program, designed for both men and women, provides a stimulating martial arts system derived form the art of Kenpo Karate which combine sthe arts of Jujitsu, Tai Chi, boxing and Judo.  The system combines fitness as an overlay to the study of martial arts.  This style emphasizes traditional values and work ethics combined with a modern day approach to self defense.

Sifu's Phil Des Rosiers and Rob Guidi collectively have over fifty years in the field of martial arts.
